Virginia Love Jenkins

Virginia “Ginny” Love Jenkins of Manassas Park, VA, passed away suddenly at the age of 80 on Thursday October 18, 2018. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence Everett Meadows and Anna May Fuller Meadows, her loving husband of 54 years, George Brook Jenkins Sr; Siblings, Druscilla Lea Clark, Frances Jane Brendle, Ellen May Yowell, Austin Lee Meadows, Betty Anne Rardin, Sandra Lou Linaweaver, Marcia Kay Coontz and daughter-in-law, Sheryl Jenkins. Virginia was survived by her husband, Paul Daniel McDermott of Manassas Park, VA, and her sons; George B. Jenkins Jr. and wife Audrey of Front Royal, VA, Ronald Jenkins and wife Carla of Bealeton, VA, Greg Jenkins and wife Linda of Manassas, VA, Kenny Jenkins of Manassas, VA, Mark Jenkins and wife Kim of Bealeton, VA, Michael Jenkins and wife Tracey of Manassas, VA, Shawn Jenkins and wife Julie of Manassas, VA; Step sons: David McDermott and wife Kathy of Ashburn, VA, and Shawn McDermott and wife Jeannie of Frederick, MD. Grandchildren: Brett Jenkins, Jason Jenkins, Jason Trenary, Jeremy Jenkins, Kirby Jenkins, Chad Jenkins, Candace Jenkins, Laci Griffith, Corey Jenkins, Hunter Jenkins, Kamryn Jenkins, Dylan Hall, Kayleigh Hall, Kendall Jenkins, Liam McDermott, Bridget McDermott, Kairi McDermott and Brooke Jenkins Great Grandchildren: Kayleigh, Isabella, Kyleigh, Brodie, Taylor, Haley, Garland, Parker, Easton, Colter, Annah, Jaxson and Jace Sister, Barbara Wallace and husband Larry of Martinsburg, WV, Sister in law Sandy Meadows and several special nieces and nephews. Virginia was co-owner for 40+ years of Jenkins Roofing with her late husband George, and was a long-time sister in faith at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her youthful glow, high energy, stern tenacity, and love for feeding her large family and their friends whether around her kitchen table or at any given pot luck to include Manassas Park wrestling matches. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, October 24th from 6-8pm at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas. A funeral will be held on Thursday, October 25th at 10:00am at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Manassas, officiated by Reverend Bob Yarborough. Following the services, the family will have a time of fellowship with friends from 11:00–12:30. A burial will be held at Shenandoah Memorial Gardens in Winchester, VA at 2:30pm. Pallbearers include her grandsons; Brett Jenkins, Jason Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins, Chad Jenkins, Corey Jenkins, Hunter Jenkins and Dylan Hall.
