Thomas W. Fife

Thomas W. Fife was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 29, 1925. He and his mother and father moved to Chicago and subsequently in 1930 to Sioux City, Iowa. In March, 1944 he joined the US Army. He served in the Army for 25 years. During those years he was in combat in Europe during WWII. He graduated from West Point in 1950 and went immediately to Korea. In 1966 he once again went into combat, this time in Vietnam. In July, 1969 he returned from the Army to begin a new chapter of his life. In October, He married Susan Will and together they spent 56 exciting and happy years. He joined Computer Sciences Corporation in 1970 and retired in 1984 as President of a division of CSC to co-found VoiceCom, a voicemail services company. He retired again in 1994 after selling the company. After 13 moves he and Sue moved to Bellevue, Washington. In 2010 they moved to Haymarket VA where he resided until his death, January 24, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan and three children from a previous marriage, Lamar Fife, Suzanne O'Brien and Thomas Fife. He has 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a nephew Howard Payne and niece Ronda Carlson. He was cremated and his ashes will be spread in the Pacific Ocean.
