Stanley Clarke Brinkley

Stanley Clarke Brinkley, 61, of Manassas, VA suddenly passed away on March 24, 2024, when tragically taken too soon. His loss was completely unexpected, and his family and friends are profoundly saddened. Stanley was born April 22, 1962, to the late Mildred Lee Brinkley and Lee Edward Dorsey in his beloved city of Paterson, NJ. He was one of four children: Debra (Donald), Robin and Kerry. He was one of three siblings to successfully complete college. No small feat in those days as he worked full time to put himself through school. He attended Ramapo College and obtained a dual degree in Business Administration and Political Science. Stanley married Charme Beatty on July 14th, 1983, in Teaneck, NJ. It was in Teaneck, an unfamiliar place that he began to build a life and family, together with his wife and two children (Brittany Charme & Taylor Cortland). Stanley was an exemplary father and human being. He embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that was well noted in the care for his wife, children (including his beloved in-laws), entire family and countless others. He worked as a senior financial executive at several companies, most recently the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. Stanley’s career included employment at Panasonic, News Paper Association and Project Vote. Stanley was big hearted and vibrant, and radiated light. He accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile. He had immense passion for his family, spiritual awareness, sports, work, singing, and activities with his baby girls ~ Tay & Britt. Stanley was adventurous, often exceeding or not fitting the role of a man’s man joining the Parent Cheerleading Team and performing well executed toe touches. His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply in his wide network of community. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time. Stanley is survived by his wife Charme K. Beatty-Brinkley of Manassas VA, his children Brittany Brinkley and Taylor Brinkley of Manassas VA, his siblings Debra Moses (Donald), Robin Bullock, and Kerry Brinkley. Nieces and Nephews: Terrence Romney (Sherrie), Antoine Moses, Darryl Beatty (Mary Ellen), Kirk Smith Jr., Ashley Moses, Angelica Bullock, and Stephanie Smith. Grand Nephews & Nieces: Ashton Moses, Declan Beatty, Amelia Beatty and Meadow Moses. God Child: August Samek Jr. In- laws: Joyce Romney, Deborah Smith (Kirk Sr), William Beatty III (Antoinette), Edward Poore (Abby), Wanda Wiggins (Glenn) and Dwayne Morgan (Susan) and a host of other family, friends and colleagues.
