Shirley Kapp

SHIRLEY JUNE KAPP, age 75 died on July 10, 2012 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas, VA. She was born on July 18, 1936 in Portville, New York to the late Forest George and Pearl Loretta (Lawton) Chase. Shirley was a devoted military wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother: LaVerne Chase. Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years John R. "Jack" Kapp of Manassas, VA; two children: Theresa Marie Guiffre and husband Guy Anthony of Haymarket, VA and Gregory John Kapp and wife Suzette of Manassas, VA; three sisters: Marie Hostuttler and husband Ed of Salamanca, New York, Lila Chase of Olean, New York and Lillian Cole and husband Dennis of Salamanca, New York; four brothers: Charles Chase of Portville, New York, Harold Chase and wife Sandra of Weston Mills, New York, Gordon Chase and wife Carolyn of Williamsburg, Virginia and Irvin Chase and wife Sandra of Eldred, Pennsylvania, sister-in-law: Patricia of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren: Kristy Marie Malik and husband Osama of Lucketts, Virginia, Stacy Wiggins and husband Brian of Haymarket, Virginia, Kathryn Canyon and husband Randy of Manassas, Virginia, Amanda Kapp of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Danielle Kapp of Culpeper, Virginia, and Justin Kapp of Manassas, Virginia and six great grandchildren: Hana, Lyla and Elias Malik; Lydia and Lucy Wiggins and Chole Canyon. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 12975 Purcell Road, Manassas, Virginia 20112. Interment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
