Sherrianne DiSabatino

Sherrianne Disabatino, 81, unexpectedly entered heaven on July 23rd, 2025. Sherrianne was born on April 26th, 1944, in Birmingham, Alabama and spent nearly all of her life in the Washington, D.C. area, ultimately choosing Bristow, Virginia as her permanent home. Sherrianne's crowning glory was being a mother to her two sons, Anthony (Tony) Disabatino and Nicholas (Nick) Disabatino. Her life is marked with countless accomplishments, but none compared to the pride she felt teaching, guiding, and loving her sons. She far surpassed the definition of mother, giving her all to her sons; she was their best friend. In 2023, Sherrianne earned her second most sacred title - Granma. Her granddaughter, Kayleigh, was the light of her life. Her favorite activity was singing Kayleigh her never-ending list of songs, an activity that always brought a smile to everyone in earshot. Although their time together was brief, Granma's love will carry on forever. Sherrianne chose a career in civil service, retiring from the Federal Government in 2016. She had the opportunity to excel in ways she never thought possible, oftentimes in awe of what she achieved. She forged many amazing friendships over more than 20 years of service and was ever appreciative of her colleagues and mentors that enabled her to succeed. Sherrianne was preceded in life by her parents Geraldine and John Roper, and her brothers Lawrence and John. Shortly after Sherrianne's passing, her brother Gerald joined her in heaven. In addition to her sons and granddaughter, Sherrianne is survived by sisters Jackie and Joan, daughter-in-law Melissa, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Sherrianne's viewing is on Thursday July 31st at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, Virginia between 7:00 and 9:00 PM. Her memorial service is on Friday August 1st at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, Virginia at 11:00 AM. Any and all are welcome to attend both services, as we know she would want all of her loved ones to be part of these events. Sherrianne loved all animals, but cats held a special place in her heart.
