Sheila M. Jones November 1, 1948 - March 29, 2025 Sheila Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Originally from Bristol, RI, Sheila made her home in Virginia for over 40 years, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others. Sheila spent many years as an elementary school cafeteria manager, where she found joy in working with children. She had a deep appreciation for the magic of storytelling and always kept up with what the “kids” were reading - developing a special love for Harry Potter. She loved the time spent helping her son’s Boy Scout troop, making many wonderful memories along the way. Her creativity and passion shone through in her love of gardening and her renowned cake-decorating skills, which brought beauty and sweetness to many celebrations. Sheila had a love for travel and cherished every opportunity to explore new places. She found true happiness in spending time with her family, creating cherished memories with those she loved most. She also had a passion for shopping - whether finding the perfect gift for a loved one or simply indulging in life’s little joys, she always had an eye for something special. Two of her greatest joys in life were Halloween and Christmas. She loved dressing up for Halloween, delighting in passing out candy to children and embracing the fun of the season. Christmas, however, brought her the most joy. She adored everything about it, from decorating and gift-giving to simply soaking in the holiday magic with her family. Sheila shared 41 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Donald Jones, who lovingly calls her the love of his life. She is survived by her husband; her children and their spouses, Michelle and Tony Ferraro, Samantha and Jesse Resto, Bert Jones; and her five cherished grandchildren and granddaughter-in-law, whom she adored with all her heart. In the words of Harry Potter, “To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.” A wake will be held on Saturday, April 12, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Coimbra Family Home.
