Ruth Weichbrodt

RUTH EPLING WEICHBRODT, age 67 formerly of Manassas, Virginia died at her home in Richmond, Virginia on Thursday, November 20, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She resided in Manassas most of her life and was a 1960 Osbourn High School graduate. Mrs. Weichbrodt was born August 29, 1941 in Stanaford, West Virginia, daughter of the late James B. and Gladys Lemon Epling. Ruth attended Manassas Assembly of God, Bristow, Virginia. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister and a very special grandmother. Her faith and love for the Lord was an inspiration to her family and many friends. She was ever grateful to her church friends who traveled to her home for Bible study and to minister. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James (Jimmy) Epling. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Robert N. Weichbrodt; daughter, Melanie Wood Harvey and husband Gary; three granddaughters, Skylar Harvey, Gillian Narron and husband David and Cassidy Harvey, all of Richmond. She is also survived by four sisters, Carol Maytan of Ponce Inlet, FL, Connie Loughhead of Buena Vista, VA, Linda McIntyre and husband Jim of Front Royal, VA and Kathy Dorsey and husband John of Timberville, VA; one brother, Wayne Epling and wife Carol Ann of Purcellville, VA and sister-in-law, Kay Epling of Stanardsville, VA. The family wishes to express gratitude to Frances Parrotte, CNA, Felicia Johnson, CNA and Carol Mason, CNA for their dedication to Ruth's care and comfort and for the gentle, loving and respectful manner in which they related to her and met even her most challenging needs. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Monday, November 24, 2008 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Monday with Pastor Scott Leib officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
