Robin Michelle Stubbs

Robin Michelle Stubbs, lovingly known as “Cookie,” passed away at the age of 43 on March 12, 2025. Robin was born on September 15, 1981, in Manassas, Virginia, to Audrey Stubbs and Richard Bushrod at Prince William Hospital. She spent her life in Manassas, where she attended Westgate Elementary, Stonewall Middle School, and Stonewall High School. Robin was the kind of person who left a lasting impression wherever she went. She was bold, hilarious, and unapologetically herself. Whether she was cracking jokes, dancing to her favorite music, or throwing out one of her iconic one-liners, she had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease. She never cared what others thought; she lived life on her own terms. She adored her beloved fur baby, Shatter, spoiling her every chance she got and loved taking her on long walks. Robin also enjoyed her vodka, gin, and her favorite beer, 211, always with a smile and her signature phrase, “I'm cute.” Above all, Robin loved her family fiercely. She is survived by her two brothers, Richard A. Stubbs and Cristian A. Stubbs; her nephews, Anthony Stubbs and Shaun Stubbs; and her niece, Jade Stubbs. She leaves behind her four wonderful children: her daughter, Andrea Ibarra of Maryland; and her three sons, Devon Stubbs, Cowen Stubbs, and Romeo Abellera. She was also a mother-in-law to David Ibarra and a grandmother to her precious granddaughter, Delilah Ibarra. She is also remembered by her aunts, Barbara Stubbs, Muriel Stubbs, Thelma Stubbs, Marilyn Bushrod, and Ethel Bushrod; her uncles, Rodney Stubbs, Maylon Holland, Mike Bushrod, Alvin Bushrod, and Thomas Bushrod; as well as many beloved cousins. She now joins in rest her late grandparents, Max and Audrey Stubbs and Henry Bushrod, while her grandmother, Rosie Bushrod, continues to cherish her memory. She is also reunited with her uncle, the late Nappy D. Robin was a free spirit, a fighter, and a light in the lives of those who knew her. She lived unapologetically, loved unconditionally, and laughed uncontrollably. Though she is no longer with us in body, her memory, her love, and her infectious energy will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Until we meet again, my dear Robin, fly high, my little red bird.
