In Loving Memory of Richard “Mully” Mullins April 17, 1961 – May 22, 2025 Richard Dean Mullins, of Midland, Va raised in Manassas, VA passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on April 17, 1961, in Kingsport, TN Richard spent his life surrounded by family and a fierce love for those closest to him. He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife Debra Mullins, and his cherished daughters Melissa (Jason), Tami (Josh), Natallie, and Danielle (Byron), who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a loving and proud grandfather—affectionately known as Pops and Papa—to James, Karen, Andrew, Alicia, Lucas, Kelsey, Jacqueline, Holden, Jackson, Michael, Logan, and Kennedy. His legacy continues to live on through each of them. Richard was a loyal brother to Steve (Elsa), Beth (Tom), and Kevin (Lisa), and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Norma (Betty), and his brother Jimmy and sister in law Barbara who he now joins in eternal peace. To know Richard was to know kindness, strength, and humor. Whether you called him Dad, Pops, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, or Friend, you knew you had someone who would be there for you without hesitation. His generous heart and steady presence were a foundation for his family, and his warm smile and quick wit left a lasting impression on all who met him. Richard had a quiet strength and a deep love for simple pleasures—family gatherings, shared stories, laughter around the table, Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Karaoke, Baseball, Golf, playing cards and the joy of watching his grandchildren grow. He lived his life with humility and grace, always putting others first. Though his absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, the love he gave and the memories he made will remain with us forever. His legacy is one of deep devotion, unwavering love, and the comfort of knowing he was always there. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held on June 21, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The American Legion in Manassas, VA. Where family and friends will gather to honor a man who meant so much to so many. Rest in peace, Richard. You were deeply loved, and you will be dearly missed.
