Michelle Mary Pollack

Michelle completed her 14-month battle with ovarian cancer and breathed her last on June 29th, 2024, peacefully surrounded by the love and prayers of her children while holding the hand of her husband and best friend, Andrew. Born on August 25th, 1963, Michelle was a bright light to all who were blessed to know her. She grew up in a loving family with two sisters and three brothers in Glen Burnie, Maryland. She adored her parents, Allen and Auberta. She joyfully pursued her high school goal of becoming a registered nurse. She reached that dream and beyond, serving her community of Manassas, Virginia, as a home health nurse for decades, then as a school nurse and Medical Club advisor at Manassas Park High School, and finally as a practical nursing instructor at Osbourn Park High School. Her compassionate and exceptional care has blessed countless patients and inspired countless more future medical professionals who will impact our world. Michelle would describe herself as a homeschooler through and through. She educated her four children, Samantha, Alexis, Chelsea, and Austin and continued to pour her wisdom into their spouses and her 14 grandchildren. Her love of learning and teaching radiated from her core and blended with her passion for Jesus and His Word. Over the years, she served in her local churches as a Sunday School teacher, youth group leader, and mentor. She taught all those around her how to love well, serve gracefully, and to have fun in all you do. She was quick to sing, quick to dance, always ready to jump on the back of the motorcycle with Andrew and go on an adventure. She enjoyed laughing with her friends who felt more like family. She loved the beach, the sunshine, and all the beautiful birds that would visit the feeders outside her kitchen window. John 3:16 reads, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." Michelle believed it and lived it. Second Corinthians 5:6 states, "So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord." Michelle is now walking on streets of gold in the presence of the Lord, completely healed. No more treatment, tubes, bags, wounds, pain, or tears. Revelation 21:4 promises, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." This is our hope in Jesus. It is our comfort in times of sorrow. The world lost a wonderful, loving, caring and selfless woman, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Heaven gained a saint. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
