Mark Paul Deslauriers

Mark Paul Deslauriers passed away at his home in Louisa, Va on April 20, 2026 after a short illness at the age of 68. He was born in Newport, Vt on April 27 1957. A devoted Christian and loving husband, father and Pawpaw. He sincerely enjoyed the simple things in life. His biggest pride and joy in life were his children. Moved to Virginia from Vermont back in 1981 to work construction. Mark was a recognized master craftsman, carpenter, and mechanic. He had an attention to detail and would never compromise on quality and/or conformance to his work. Hired as a foreman with the Manganaro Organization in 1991; the start of a 30+ career with the firm. His first of many projects will be remembered as the Warner Theater renovation and office addition. Mark grew in his career to positions as Field Manager and eventually Director of Field Operations. Mark’s oversight included hundreds of projects all over the Maryland, District of Columbia, and the Virginia area until his retirement in 2022. Mark also mentored many of the company’s current and former field personnel as a legacy to his strong leadership skills and caring management style. Even in retirement, Mark provided part-time consulting and mentoring. He will be sorely missed by those he touched. He truly believed, “if you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life.” Mark is survived by his wife, Suzanne Deslauriers, of 47 blessed years as well as his children, Jennifer Deslauriers Sheetz (Reggie Sheetz), Joey Deslauriers, John Deslauriers (Melinda Deslauriers) and his 9 grandchildren, Makayla Sheetz, Landon Sheetz, Addison Sheetz, Cohen Sheetz, Hunter Deslauriers, Lily Deslauriers, Isabelle Deslauriers, Anni Deslauriers and Eli Deslauriers and two brothers, Maurice Deslauriers (Katie) and David Deslauriers (Linda) Mark has an immense love for his family and the outdoors. He cherished the many blessings he said the Lord had given him. Faith in God, hard work and honesty were the cornerstone by which he lived his life as well as good music and a good cigar by the lake. Through the years he took many motorcycle trips with his buddies, had many golf outings with the guys as well as going on many beautiful trips with his wife. He fought the Fight, he finished the race and kept the Faith In lieu of flowers, the family request you donate to the UVA Cancer Center A luncheon will be served after the mass at Windy Knolls Farm, 11602 Kettle Run Rd, Nokesville, VA 20181
