Kayla Harris

KAYLA LAURENCIA HARRIS, age 13 of Nokesville, VA., died unexpectedly due to a heart condition on September 8, 2003 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. Kayla lived her life to the fullest from August 30, 1990 to September 8, 2003. Kayla was an 8th grade student in the Math and Science Program at Marsteller Middle School where she performed on the Dance Team. Kayla had played with the MCSA Kryptonite and VSA Heat U-14 Soccer teams. She was a member of the PWC 4-H Nokesville Mighty Tigers. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Hugh Gambrell. Kayla will live on in the hearts of her parents, Candy and David Harris, her older brothers, Justin and Luke, of Nokesville; maternal grandmother Louise Gambrell of Summerville, SC.; paternal grandparents Jan Harris of Sumter, SC., and Laurence Harris of West Plains, MO.; and great aunts and uncles Frances and Wesley Farmer of Anderson, SC., Irma Wade of Clearwater, FL., Shirley and Richard Cantell of Sheldon Springs, VT., Eunice Benham of St. Albans, VT., Jimmy and Greta Messier of Sheldon Springs, VT. Aunts and uncles include Jerri and Dennis Boyd of Clearwater, FL., Judy Crowell of Raleigh, NC., Vicki and Bill Waisnor of Charleston, SC., Dale Harris of Dalzell, SC., and Steven Harris of Sumter, SC., as well as a large extended family and many friends. Kayla's enthusiasm and love of life touched many hearts and will be remembered by all. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 6:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2003 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas. Everyone is invited to visit with the family at the Nokesville Fire hall from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Food will be provided by the Marsteller PTA. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2003 at Manassas Baptist Church, 8800 Sudley Rd., Manassas with Pastor Robin Bayles officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
