Jonathan Keenan McCloskey

Jonathan Keenan McCloskey left us too soon on June 14, 2026, at age 36. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, son-in-law, nephew, cousin and a dear friend to many from Maine to Texas, to his final home in Virginia. Known for his humility and high integrity, he left a lasting impact on everyone whose life he touched through his faith, kindness, encouragement, and refreshing sense of humor He had an ongoing thirst for knowledge. He earned two bachelor’s degrees in forensics and business administration. One of his proudest moments was when he received his Master's of Science in Strategic Intelligence. He received several certifications to support his different positions as a government employee. Jonathan had many passions that brought him joy throughout his life. He was an avid collector of albums, concert t-shirts, and posters from his favorite bands (Goooooooosssseeeeee!). He loved NASCAR, attending races whenever possible and building an impressive collection of memorabilia. A fan of all sports, he was particularly a loyal fan of all the New England sports teams, especially hockey and football. He also enjoyed watching all kinds of documentaries. Playing the guitar was an act of worship for him and brought him a sense of peace and relaxation. Another love he had was cooking, as he was always trying new recipes for him and his wife, Sarah. One of his greatest joys was traveling with his wife to explore different countries, NASCAR races, Disney, and to see their favorite bands across the US and internationally. Growing up, he treasured his adventures with his dad and brother, discovering different parts of the US and finding the best roller coasters. Jonathan is survived by his loving wife, Sarah, of eight years, his parents Steve and Brenda, his brother Michael, his grandmother Rose, his mother-in–law Mary Nedde, brother-in-law David and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His love for his wife, family, friends, country, and, most of all, his faith never wavered. All who knew Jonathan are surely blessed with his handprint on their heart. He is a reminder to hold your loved ones close, make the most of the time you have together, and love each other dearly. He will be forever missed. The family finds peace and comfort in knowing he is with our Lord Jesus Christ forever. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.
