Frances Teresa Whisenhunt

Frances Teresa Whisenhunt, 67, of Manassas, Virginia passed away on Saturday evening, February 3rd, 2024, after a prolonged battle with pneumonia that resulted in her inability to maintain proper oxygen levels. She fought valiantly for over a month at the hospital in Reston, Virginia with her devoted husband and family by her bedside. The struggles with her health were monumental since her stroke in 2020 and her resilience was admirable. Although she battled mobility issues, she treasured the days, even the dark ones, and she reached for every second she could wring out of life to make memories with her family and friends. Teresa was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, and a graduate of the Class of 1975 from I.C. Norcom High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nell Baker and Joseph “Hank” Morin. Teresa worked twenty-six years with Quest Diagnostics formerly American Medical Laboratories in Fairfax, Virginia. She enjoyed all things involving crafting, Shopping, NCIS and was mystically connected to giraffes but the activities that she loved the most were the ones that revolved around being a grandmother. Her grandsons filled her heart with the brightest of smiles and undeniable pride. Teresa is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Terry Whisenhunt, her son, Scott Sereduick, her stepson, Matthew Whisenhunt, her twin grandsons, Michael and Steven Sereduick, her sister, Virginia “Ginny” Morin Collins, her sister-in laws Brenda Mullins, and Linda Jenkins, her brother – laws, Bobby Whisenhunt, and Jimmy Jenkins, In addition to many nephews, nieces, and extended family. All of us that she leaves are remorseful for her departure but grateful for the release from her earthly struggles. The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home on Saturday February 10, 2024, located at 9609 Center Street Manassas, VA 20110.
