Eric John Hall

In Loving Memory Eric leaves behind a loving family and many friends who will forever cherish his memory. Eric was a gentle spirit with a loving heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and remarkable strength in the face of adversity. He had a natural ability to make people feel welcomed and accepted. Eric embraced people for who they were and believed in treating everyone with kindness and respect. Family and friends were at the center of Eric’s life. Eric took a genuine interest in the lives of those he loved. He cherished his nieces and nephews and was always interested in what was important to them. It was not unusual for Eric to reach out unexpectedly with a call or message simply to check in and let someone know he was thinking about them. Eric enjoyed music, reading, movies, and classic television shows. He appreciated a good story and had a sense of humor that brought laughter and warmth to those around him. His interests were many, but his greatest interest was always in people. Eric studied American Sign Language and often had the opportunity to apply it while working for several years in the Hotel Hospitality Industry where he earned multiple awards for exceptional customer service and sales. Eric is the son of Lorrie (Hyde) Hall of Centreville, Virgina and William Hall of Gainesville, Virgina and brother to Dachia (Robbie) Bolden of Chesapeake, Virginia, Bryan Hall of Fort Myers, Florida, Deidre Hall of Winchester, Virginia, and Andrew Hall of Hoosick Falls, New York; and uncle to Branden Wolford, Ethan Bolden, Callen Bolden, Riley Hall, and Ellianna Hall-Jaf. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Eric will be remembered for his gentle nature, loving heart, humor, resilience, and the genuine interest he showed in the lives of others. His unexpected calls and messages, his willingness to listen, and his ability to make people feel cared for will be deeply missed. Though Eric’s life was far too short, the love he gave and the lives he touched will continue to be part of his family’s and friends’ story. May we remember to honor his memory by carrying forward the kindness, acceptance, and love that came so naturally from him. Eric will be deeply missed and forever loved.
