Steven L Daugherty

Steven L. Daugherty (Raghead) born November 19, 1954 in Bethesda Maryland passed away surrounded by Family in Aldie Virginia February 5, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. Raghead was a generous loving guy and is loved by so many. He was a jack of many traits and knew how to fix almost anything including a Keurig Coffee Machine...who knew. The knowledge of understanding the process that made a machine work was easy for him. He was a Jeep Mechanic for 40+ years and spent 27 of those years at Farrish Jeep in Fairfax Virginia and retired several years ago. His love for his Harley Davidson was also a high priority for many decades and would always ride it like he stole it. Always the life of the party - his hellos and goodbyes were always I love you' and 'peace brother. Raghead is survived by his wife of 44 years Christine, his mini me daughter Barbara Ann Winters - Husband Aaron, daughter Christine Vitello (Steven), son William, granddaughters Danaka McKenzie Simonsen, Janelle Shipley (Clayton), grandsons William James Daugherty II, Dalton Daugherty, Anthony Figuero, daughter-in-laws Mary Daugherty and Betty Callejas and his close family in Crisfield, Maryland - Brenda Howard, Jeff Howard (Denise), Pat (Keith) , Kolby (Nathan), Courtney (Kearon), Kay Welch, Jamie Lynn, Beth Cullen, much more family as well as many, many, many friends. Although not blood, most friends were actually family. He knew no stranger. He met so many people in his lifetime he couldn't remember everyones name but he remembered faces most of the time but usually followed up with “what’s your name again” He was preceded in death by our son Steven L. Daugherty Il, Brian Simonsen, Pete Howard our very dear friend Jack Walker, his Father Louis Daugherty and Mother Maxine Martin. A service will be held at Pierce Funeral Home 9609 Center Street in Manassas, VA Sunday February 18th at 12 noon - he will be cremated at a later date. Reception to follow.
