Sarah Ann Nash

Sarah Ann Nash February 15, 1944 – September 25, 2020 On September 25, 2020, Sarah Ann Nash, loving wife, mother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her home in Manassas, VA, at age 76. Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Franklin Alphious Nash. Together they raised three children, Debra Ann Nash Walton, William Allen Nash (wife -- Deborah Ann Nash), and Patrick Thomas Nash (wife -- Lorie Mitchel Nash). Sarah was very proud of her grandchildren, Andrew Phillip Nash, Joseph Thomas Walton, Liam Connor Nash, and Alexandra Elise Nash. She also leaves behind three brothers, Phillip Thomas Joseph, Jr., Thomas Francis Joseph and Robert Alan Joseph. Her mother, Harriet Joseph-Kinsman, stepfather, Orland Clark (Curley) Kinsman, father, Phillip Thomas Joseph, and sister, Carolyn Marie Peters, precede Sarah in death. Sarah retired as Manager of Food Services for two Prince William County Elementary Schools, Westgate and Mullen. Sarah loved children and always had their best interest at heart. She never let a child go hungry, even if the money for their meals came out of her own pocket. Sarah was a proud member of the Manassas Lioness Club and true to form, participated in many charity events. She loved the social opportunities and always attended dinners and events until it was no longer physically possible. Back in the day, she enjoyed Duckpin bowling and played on various leagues. She loved arts and crafts including embroidery, sewing, ceramics and rock painting. Sarah loved gambling and would often “sneak” away with our Aunts, Mag and LaLa, for a night or two at Charleston to play the slot machines. She loved to cook and was an amazing chef. The first thing we all did on visits was head to the fridge for leftovers. Sarah had a beautiful smile, heart and soul. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched. Services for Sarah will be held at Pierce Funeral Home located at 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110, on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Visitations will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 pm. Funeral Service will be from 2:00 pm. – 3:00. Masks are required.
