Roy Junior Stoneberger August 22, 1952- February 18, 2022 Roy Junior Stoneberger, age 69, of Nokesville, VA passed away Friday, February 18, 2022. Survivors include his loving wife Kathy Stoneberger, “Honge” of 50 years, daughter: Michelle Mahieu (Tim Mahieu), son: Brian Stoneberger (Amber Stoneberger), grandchildren: Michaela, Hannah, Nate, Emma, Tara, Ricky, Lane, Gracie, Kyle, and Taylor, brothers and sisters: Barbara Ralls (Tom Ralls), Vanesa Angles (Ronnie Angles), Cindy Urbani, Linda Grigsby (Danny Emberton), Allen Stoneberger, Sharon Stoneberger, and Greg Stoneberger, mother: Ruby Stoneberger and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Preceding him in death was his sisters: Karen Adkins, and Joyce Mullins, brothers: Lewis Urbani and Jack Urbani, mother and father-in-law: Alice Urbani and Lawrence Urbani. Roy was born on August 22, 1952, in Luray, VA. In his teenage years his family moved to Northern Virginia. Roy and Kathy married on April 9, 1971, and resided in Manassas, VA. In 1972 Roy enlisted in the United States Army National Guard where he proudly served his county for six years. Roy began his career in the garage door industry in 1971, working as an installer for Crawford Door Company, the experience he gained over the years led him to open his own garage door company, Stoneberger Door Service, Inc, in 1988. He provided installation and service to the community for over 50 years and gained many satisfied customers who became friends. In addition, Roy was a mentor to many other professionals in the garage door industry. Roy enjoyed restoring classic cars and was an active member of the Bull Run Street Rods club for many years. Roy was always busy with various projects; however, his most treasured time was always spent with family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday February 25, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110). The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM, at Pierce Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Roy’s honor to: Tunnel to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Boulevard Staten Island, NY 10306 OR Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
