Rosario Torres Hernandez

Rosario Torres Hernandez, 83, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away on March 10, 2022. She was born on October 23, 1938 in Laredo, Texas, to Pedro Torres and Juana Ramos Villareal. Rosario lived her life for her children and family. She courageously raised her four children Rosario, Jose, Yolanda, and Laura on her own. Like arrows in the hands or a warrior, she set us on the path to success leaning on God’s Strength and Wisdom. She instilled in us a formidable work ethic and loyalty to family. She had a contagious laugh and loved her flowers. She emptied herself over us and gave without thinking twice, even if it was the last she had. Her arms were strong for the task…and now she rests. Rosario joins her parents, Pedro and Juana and her brother, Juan de Dios Villareal. She is survived by her children, Rosario Hernandez Tobar (Fernando), Jose Isabel Hernandez Torres (Genie), Yolanda T. Friendly (Sean), and Laura Hernandez Torres; Grandchildren, Sajir, Bobby, Alejandro Jose, Ariel Makayla, Christian, Jyailah Marie, Marco Antonio, Emilio Gael, and Moriah Jahzeel; Great-Grandchildren, Emira, Giovanni, Yazmene, Jayden, Nathaniel, and Alexander; Cousins Roberto and Martin Ramos, Rosaelia (Chelita); Sister-in-law, Doris Ornelas de Villareal; Nieces and Nephews: Gilberto, Raul, Veronica, Jesus Gustavo, Gabriela, Juan de Dios, and Zoraida; and very close friend, Elizabeth and numerous others. A private Family and Friends Celebration of Life service will be held for Rosario at 12:00 PM on March 29, 2022 at Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110).
