Randall Tucker White Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Randall (Randy) Tucker White, Jr, age 64, of Woodbridge VA, passed away on October 7, 2021 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born in Gloucester, MA and was the son of the late Randall Tucker White, Sr and Natalie (Thatcher) White. Randy graduated from Gloucester High School and UMass Amherst. He was involved in transportation, which was his passion, his entire adult life. He started driving buses while at UMass. After graduation, he drove for a tour company that took him all over the United States and into Canada. He later earned a certificate in computer science at ITT which allowed him to get into planning and managing multiple forms of surface transportation. Randy’s work took him from Massachusetts to Georgia to New Hampshire and ultimately to Virginia. The past 15 years he worked for the Department of Transportation for the County of Fairfax, Virginia where he was a valued team member. In addition to transportation, Randy’s interests included music, reading and NASCAR. He enjoyed listening to classical music especially during his holiday treks to the Northeast to visit family. He had a beautiful baritone voice which he lent to choral groups in Massachusetts and Virginia. Randy was an avid reader his entire life and a NASCAR enthusiast. Randy is survived by his sisters Susan Shofner of Gloucester, MA, Diane White of Chelmsford, MA, Jo-Ann White of Nashua, NH in addition to many cousins. Private funeral services will be held in Gloucester, MA at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association
