Paul Anthony Vento

Paul Anthony Vento, a wonderful Partner, Father, Pop Pop, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend, entered eternal rest on October 29, 2023, in Aldie, Virginia. Paul was the middle child, born to the late Salvatore and Julia Vento in Manhattan, New York, on July 29, 1958. When he was a young boy, Paul's family moved to Old Bridge, New Jersey. In his adult years, Paul moved to Rising Sun, Maryland. Eventually, Paul found his way to Manassas, Virginia, where he resided with Lillie, who was his love, his partner, and eventually his caregiver. Paul's first job was at a pizzeria, and he continued in the food service industry for over 40 years. He retired in October 2019 from full time employment with Buffalo Wild Wings in Fairfax, Virginia as the General Manager. Paul’s mission was always to mentor and encourage his employees to be the best they could be. Paul was a Volunteer Firefighter with the South Old Bridge Fire Department in Old Bridge, New Jersey, for over 25 years. He served as Secretary and President and reached the rank of Captain. In 2020, Paul and Lillie bought a travel trailer and enjoyed spending time on the road. It didn't matter if it was 10 miles from home or visiting family in Georgia, Deltona Florida, or all the way to the Florida Keys. He enjoyed the journey and spending time with his cousins in Florida. Among Paul's special travel moments were summer vacations with Melissa, Phil, Lillie, Parker, Masin, and Maddie. He would enjoy the fire pits, cooking food and the grands making s'mores. We all enjoyed his cooking. Paul was a Mets and Jets “J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets!” fan. He enjoyed watching the games on TV, but he truly loved going to see his beloved Jets in person surrounded by thousands of other people sharing his love of the team. Paul did not attend church on a regular basis, but he believed in God and believed God was his Savior. Paul leaves to cherish his life, his partner, Lillie Allen-Peyton; his beloved children, Melissa (Phillip) Hensler of Cleveland, Ohio, Steven (Mikaila) Vento of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Tamara (Marvin) Parker of Front Royal, Virginia; three grandchildren, Parker and Masin Hensler, and Madison Parker; three sisters, Diana Vento of Deltona, Florida, Phyllis (Richard) Dwyer of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and Maryanne Howell of Deltona, Florida; one brother, Danny (Regina) Vento of Braselton, Georgia; and one aunt, Rose (Julius Pardo) Vazquez of Deltona, Florida. Paul also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and friends will gather for a Visitation on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Chapel at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, VA 20110. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
