Matthew Steven Linville

Matthew Steven Linville, 29, passed away on June 19, 2022. His kindness, intelligence, humor, and capacity for love will be remembered and exemplified by those who knew and loved him. Born on April 6, 1993, to Keri and Steve in Manassas, Virginia, he brought people together since the day he was born and continued to bring happiness and laughter to everyone who knew him. Matthew earned a Bachelors in English and History in 2015, as well as a Masters in Professional Writing and Rhetoric in 2022. Once he started talking about history, like the Battle of Bull Run, amongst many other topics, he could keep going for hours. Writing was one of his many talents, a passion he wished to share with everyone. In his honor, drink a nice cup of coffee, sit down with a good book, listen to your favorite music, and be present in every moment. Matthew is survived by his wife, Kristine; his father, Steve; his mother, Keri; his siblings, Stevie and Casey, his two cats, Biscuit and Butter, as well as countless family and friends. Matt would’ve liked you all to be comfortable when coming to his memorial service. Casual dress is requested.
