Louella Namata Alegrado Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Louella Namata Alegrado became an angel and went home to our Creator and Savior Jesus Christ on July 2, 2022, at the age of 59. She was born and raised in Misamis Occidental, Philippines then immigrated to the United States in 1983. Louella is survived by her husband Esmedarius Alegrado, daughters Sheryll, Darlene, and Alenamie Alegrado, and eight brothers and sisters. Louella or “Lou Lou” or “Inday”, as she was fondly called, will be sorely missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and her entire social community. Viewing will be at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St, Manassas, VA 20110, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on July 15, 2022. We will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 PM, to be followed by eulogies. Holy mass will be at 10:30 AM on July 16, 2022, St. Louis Catholic Church, 2907 Popkins Ln, Alexandria, VA 22306. Interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306. As a faithful child of Christ, Louella lived a happy life and put others above herself. She provided love, comfort, excitement, and happiness to her family. She raised three wonderful daughters to be faithful, kind, resilient, and ready to take on the challenges of the world. Born a sharp-witted entertainer, she loved to sing, dance, tell stories, and share jokes. An adventurous spirit, Louella often traveled with her family not only here in the United States but also around the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Louella began working as a surgical technologist at Inova Women’s Hospital in Fairfax, VA on January 1986. She assisted surgeons in complex GYN, oncologic robotic, breast and plastic reconstructive surgeries. Louella was committed to the unit’s education committee and advancing her workplace. An excellent mentor and preceptor, she helped her team members develop and grow by sharing her skills and wisdom with them.
