Judy Elaine McWilliams

February 6, 1945 - February 23, 2022

Judy Elaine McWilliams, 77, of Manassas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 23, 2022 after a long battle with non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis. Judy now sleeps peacefully, awaiting Jesus to come and wake her to eternal life when He comes on the last day. Judy was born February 6, 1945 in Washington D.C. and grew up in Fairfax, Virginia where she lived until moving to Manassas, Virginia in 1977. Judy graduated from Fairfax High School in 1963. She worked as a secretary at Fairfax County Government for 16 years. Judy met the love of her life, Dave, at church in the summer of 1975 and they were married in 1976. With the birth of her son, Chris, three years later, Judy chose to stay home to raise her son and take on what would be her life’s work as a homemaker, which she loved and excelled at. Judy was quiet, kind, and gentle. She was a member of Manassas Seventh-Day Adventist church. She was a dedicated Christian whose life goal was to be a good wife and mother. She loved to share Jesus with others in subtle ways. She loved flowers and flower gardening, cooking, baking, and helping others in practical ways. She loved to study her Bible and enjoyed being with her family. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Mack and Katherine Edwards of Fairfax, her sisters, Penny Wright, Peggy Edwards, and Dorothy Spady, and her brother in law Delmar Shephard. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David McWilliams, her son, Christopher McWilliams of Manassas, her stepson David McWilliams Jr. and his wife Sue of Martinsburg West Virginia, a grandson, Taran, and granddaughter Shaili of Martinsburg West Virginia, her sister Gaylia Shephard of Chantilly, a brother in law, Donald Spady Sr. of Manassas, a nephew, Don Spady Jr. and his wife Tanya of Manassas Park, niece Sherry Spady of Manassas, and niece Lori Corkhill and her husband Jeff of Yorkshire as well as grandnephews Ryan Corkhill and Nicholas Spady, and grand nieces Autumn Spady and Michelle Nago. Visitation will be Wednesday March 2, 2022 at 9:45AM-10:25AM at Manassas Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Funeral service will be at 10:30AM March 2, 2022 at Manassas Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. There will be a private graveside service for family at 12PM. Interment will be at Stonewall Memory Gardens. Funeral arrangements by Pierce Funeral Home Manassas, Virginia.
