Jessica Nicole Guevara

September 24, 1996 - January 9, 2022

Jessica Nicole Guevara, 25, of Dumfries, Virginia, passed away on January 9, 2022. She was born in Woodbridge, Virginia to Sandra and Fredy Guevara on September 24, 1996. Jessica was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), a rare genetic syndrome. Despite many challenges, she faced the world with a bright smile and wonderful sense of humor. Jessica grew up in Woodbridge where she lived with her parents and older sister. She attended Independent Hill School and later attended and graduated from Alternative Paths Training School in Fairfax. As an adult, Jessica had the opportunity to transition from her family’s home into a residential group home where she continued to flourish under the love and care of the Provident Arc team who became her second family. Jessica loved music, dancing, car rides, parties, McDonalds cheeseburgers, fries and Coca-Cola. Her favorite color was purple. Jessica made friends wherever she went and touched the lives of many. She will be dearly missed but will live on in our hearts and memories always. Jessica was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Lester J. Wilsey. She is survived by her parents, Sandra and Fredy; Sister, Amanda E. Guevara; Grandmothers, Elizabeth C. Wilsey, Rosa Lidia Guevara; Uncles, Richard L. Wilsey, Joaquin Guevara, Hugoniel Guevara, Elmer Guevara; Aunts, Idalia del Carmen Guevara, Blanca Lidia Guevara. A memorial service will be held for Jessica at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110). In Jessica’s honor, please consider wearing the color purple to her memorial service.
