James June McCray, 65, of Annandale, Virginia, passed away on March 30, 2022. He was born to Eddith (MacMaster) and James McCray in Bishopsville, South Carolina on May 21, 1956. James took pride in his cars, always keeping them clean, enjoyed working on them, taking care of them and he could be found on the weekends visiting Advance Auto or Harbor Freight looking for new projects. He loved music like soul, rhythm and blues. James loved learning, and went back to school as an adult to get many certifications including HVAC and carpentry. Another joy of Jame’s life was his Family, going to the beach and other getaways. James joins his father, James McCray, and brothers Otis and Wayne McCray. He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Weston McCray, of 19 years of marriage, but James and Glenda have been making wonderful memories and taking adventures for 37 years; Children, Derrick Williams, Ashlee Williams, Angela Weston, and Betty Weston; Grandchildren, Giquan Williams, Zoie Williams, August Williams, Briana Samuel, Alysia Samuel, and Casondra Samuel; Great-Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Antonio, Amir, and Mackai; Mother, Eddith McCray; and Brothers, Bruce McCray, Sam McCray, and Kent McCray. A visitation will be held for James on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110). His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 11:30 AM, also at Pierce Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately after the funeral service at Sudley United Methodist Church Cemetery (5308 Sudley Road, Manassas, Virginia 20109).
