George G. Stone Jr.

George G. Stone, Jr., age 84, of Gainesville, VA passed away on April 26, 2022, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. He was born on February 17, 1938, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late George G. Stone and Catherine Kronenberger Stone. His life revolved around his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Faye Brink Stone; sister, Jeanne Fillar, and her husband James Fillar; and his grandson, Matthew Stone. Survivors include three children, Gregory G. Stone (Jenn) of Charles Town, WV, Perry S. Stone of Manassas, VA, and Catherine Stone McNickle (Kirk) of Sterling, VA; three grandchildren, Nicole Stone of Vienna, VA; Colleen and Robert McNickle both of Sterling, VA; one brother, Stephen Stone (Janis) of Mount Vernon, OH; one sister, Norma Stone of Wellsburg, WV and well as a host of extended family and friends. Family and friends will gather for a Visitation on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 6:00-9:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, VA 20110. Funeral Services will then be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 1:00 PM with a Reception following. Interment will be held at a later date, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd., Triangle, VA 22172. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 in loving memory of George G. Stone, Jr.
