Carol Chano Soomarie, 77, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away at home on February 4, 2021. Carol was born on November 27, 1943, to Chichoree and Eldica Soomarie in Trinidad and Tobago. Carol is survived by her only daughter, Simone Waller (Anthony), one grandson Anthony Waller Jr (Ashley), one granddaughter Antoinette Waller and one great-granddaughter Arya Waller. Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Sookchan Soomarie, Ruben Soomarie and her sister, Minty Dooda Letren. She is survived by her sisters, Utrice Shia Rattan (Cecil), Stella Mintra James (Maxwell), her brother David Soomarie, 13 nieces and nephew and a host of family and friends. Carol will be cremated in a private ceremony at Pierce Funeral Home, Center St, Manassas, VA on Wednesday February 10th. The funeral service for Carol will be held on Friday February 12th at 11:00 am at the First Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 16622 Dumfries Road, Dumfries, Virginia. The family will receive visitors at 10:30 am.
