Amanda Victoria Groves

Amanda Victoria Groves (or ‘Mandi’), 32, of Bristow, Virginia, passed away on February 16, 2022. Mandi was born on May 22, 1989 to Kenneth and Marybeth Groves in Redwood City, California - their first child. She had a happy childhood growing up in Frederick, Maryland filled with many friends and fun times. She was homeschooled through 5th grade. At age 12, she moved with her family to Manassas, Virginia, where she attended Holy Family Academy and Seton School. Mandi had a love for music, animals (especially horses!), classic Disney, reading books, writing, figuring out life and discussing it, painting, traveling, and drinking coffee! She LOVED meeting new people and had a way of being able to strike up a conversation with any stranger. She met so many people throughout her life and touched countless lives. She was a good hugger. There was never a dull moment with her - she was spontaneous, had a love for life and a spirit of adventure! She is preceded in death by her grandfather Robert Groves, Uncle Gordon Martinez, Aunt Pam Groves, and her maternal grandparents J.D. and Essie Martinez. Mandi is survived by her loving parents, Ken and Beth Groves, her siblings Kevin, Kate, Joe, and Sophie; grandmother Annemarie Groves (or ‘Mammy’, as she was the first to call her), many uncles, aunts and cousins. A visitation will be held on Sunday February 27, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 28, 2022, at 3: 30 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8213 Linton Hall Road, Gainesville, VA 20155 with burial to follow immediately after at Manassas City Cemetery, Center St., Manassas, VA, 20110.
