Alice Marie Lunsford

April 29, 1932 - April 4, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Alice” Marie” Lunsford announce her passing. Marie went home to be with our lord on April 4, 2022. Known by all as Marie, she was born in Haymarket, Virginia April 29, 1932 to the late Walter & Alice Romine. She is preceded in death by her son, David Milton Lunsford, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ross, Catherine Osborne, Brenda Repass (Jack) & Wanda Morgan (Stephen) and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marie was a hard worker and retired from Prince William Hospital where she worked for many years in the dietary department. After retiring from Prince William Hospital, Marie kept busy caring for 2 small boys who embraced her as their grandma, Sammy, and Danny Ashat. Marie’s favorite past time was to spend time in the spring and summer in her flower beds and small vegetable garden. During the Christmas season you would find her busy in her kitchen baking her well-known fruitcakes and, in the summer, she might be busy in the kitchen baking Wanda and Brenda a homemade lemon meringue pie. Marie will be deeply missed by all and now rests at peace in the hands of the lord. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Manassas Health & Rehab for their care and compassion. Graveside services will be held April 13, 2022 @ 11AM at Little Georgetown Cemetery.
