Adrienne "Dee" Fermo Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Adrienne “Dee” Fermo, age 80, lost her battle with cancer on September 7, 2021, at Stone Springs Hospital in Dulles, VA. In her final hours she was surrounded by her loving children, Gregory, Catherine, and Paul. Dee was born on October 19, 1940, in Seattle, WA to the late Adrian Stewart and Marvel Donley. She attended Fresno State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Following graduation she pursued an early career in education, serving as an Elementary School teacher for many years. Motivated by her love of travel, Dee then changed course to pursue a successful second career in the travel industry, including professional roles with Pan American Airlines, SATO Travel Agency, and American Express Travel. She retired from the travel business after more than 30 years in the industry. In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Isabella, Jack, and Anna. She will remain in their hearts for eternity. Dee lived her life with spirit, independence, and a fierce sense of adventure. She was passionate about traveling, wildlife, and history. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 11th at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 271 Winchester St. Warrenton, VA 20186. Family and friends will then gather for a time of continued fellowship in the reception room of Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St. Manassas, VA 20110. Flowers can be sent to Pierce Funeral Home. Or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), or the World Wildlife Fund (WWF); organizations very dear to her heart.
