Steven Nicholas Thomas Sr.

Steven Nicholas "Nick" Thomas, Sr, age 40, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Nick was born on December 11, 1982 in Roanoke, Virginia, to parents Jerry Thomas Sr and Debra Carol Thomas. He lived his whole life in the Commonwealth, graduating from Culpeper High School in 2002 & residing in Manassas until his death. Nick was a passionate, dedicated & devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle & family man. He leaves behind a wife, Valerie Nicole, and four children: Kayla Lynn, 18, Steven Nicholas Jr, 13, Savannah Nicole, 12, Bailey Nicole, 5, his father, Jerry Thomas Sr. of Ellenton, Florida and his brother Jerry Thomas Jr, of Manassas, Virginia. His nieces and nephews Austin Jordan,19, Madison Paige, 18, Brianna Lee, 16, Justin Albert Jr., 15, Benjamin Rylee, 13, Lana LeAnn, 12, Carleigh Jane, 9, Dylan Allen, 8, Carleigh Ann, 8, Lucas Owen, 5. He was a loving and supportive husband and father who always put his family first. Nick was a true outdoorsman who loved spending his time camping, hunting, and fishing. He was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing softball and watching the Washington Nationals and his beloved Commanders. Nick's love for NASCAR was unmatched, and he watched every race he could. Nick also had a special place in his heart for Team Pop Up, the Old Town Whiskey Club, and the Whiskey Wagon. Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Carol Thomas, and his nephew, Brody Lee Thomas. He will be deeply missed by his wife & children, his father, Jerry Thomas Sr., his brother Jerry Thomas Jr., and fiancée Savannah of Manassas, Virginia, and his many friends & loved ones. A celebration of life will be held on May 17th at Pierce's Funeral Home in Manassas, Virginia. The family will receive friends at 4:30 pm, and the service will start immediately after at 5:30 pm. Following the service, the family will visit with guests at the Old Town Sports Pub in Old Town Manassas. The family is asking guests to please wear RED IN MEMORY OF NICK! Nick will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his passion for the outdoors, his unique sense of humor, and his infectious smile. He will be forever missed.
