Shaun Michael Cresswell

Shaun passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the age of 44, leaving behind a loving father and brother. Our hearts are broken. Shaun was much loved by his family and friends. Shaun was born in Fairfax Virginia on December 20, 1978, the second son to Frank and Cynthia Cresswell (dec’d) his big brother is Steven Cresswell. Shaun and his brother Steve grew up with his family in Dale City, Virginia. They were a close knit family, creating many wonderful memories on family vacations, playing little league soccer, and basketball. Shaun attended Hilton High School where he was an outstanding athlete and had many great friends. He went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Virginia. Through the years Shaun accumulated many wonderful friends who have remained loyal to each other through the years. He touched so many lives with his upbeat personality and infectious happiness and smile, always the first to lend a hand and the last to ask for anything in return. Shaun lived his life to the fullest. Shaun was an avid golfer and gardener and took great pride in his new home, continuously making improvements to both his home and to his gardens. He especially loved his new neighborhood, where they could all be found taking evening walks together. He shared his home with his girl friend Kellie and Wally, his four legged best friend. Uncle Shaun found great joy spending time with and doting on his nieces and nephews Riley, Morgan, Brayden and Keegan. He was loved and embraced by everyone whose life he touched. He was tragically taken from us way too early, breaking all our hearts. We can take comfort in knowing that the life he lived was always filled to the max with happiness, love, family and many friends who cared deeply for him. Shaun is survived by his loving father Frank Cresswell and stepmom Arlene Nestel, brother Steve Cresswell, his wife Dana and their children, Riley, Morgan, Brayden and Keegan, Aunt Cindy England and her husband RJ, Shaun’s cousin Caitlin Morrison and her husband Robert and their daughter Ryann, Uncle David Cresswell (dec’d) and his wife Wanda and cousins, as well as many other extended family members. May Shaun rest in peace for all eternally.
