Shannon Marie (Jordan) Callahan HAYMARKET, VA. entered eternal peace the early hour of Sunday, October 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband Steven, her children, her sister-in-law Kateri. She was the daughter of Daniel Jordan and Mary Jordan of Rensselaer, NY. Mrs. Callahan is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Steven P. Callahan and their four children, Liam (23), Sheamus (19), Rian (17) and Aine (14); her faithful trusted pets Speedie and Chimmy (dogs); Fiona (cat); Duncan (parakeet); Lebron, Butz, Jacoby and RK (chickens) Mrs. Callahan is also survived by her sister, Rebecca Jordan-Alfano and her husband Vincenzo Alfano of Ballston Lake, NY, their children Reagan Jordan-Alfano, Lucius Jordan-Alfano and Maximus Jordan-Alfano. Mrs. Callahan is also survived by her mother-in-law, Marie T. Callahan; Martin, and his wife Mary Ann of Batavia, Ill., Mary and her husband Michael Cozzi of College Grove, TN., Janet and wife Penny of Mechanicville, NY., Kateri and her husband Neil Perkins of Stillwater, NY., Justin and his wife Tiffany of New Bern, N.C., Monica Phalen and wife Kelly of Niskayuna, NY. and John and partner Keenan of Watervielt, NY. Nieces and nephews, Jack Cozzi (Emily and baby Ronan), Tyler Cozzi, Nolan Cozzi, Marco Cozzi, Maire Cozzi, Emily Perkins, Loren Perkins, Logan Callahan (2021), Abigail Callahan, and Caitlin Callahan, Alex Callahan, Nicholas Callahan and Jacob Callahan (2008) Mrs. Callahan was passionate about music, reading, taking photographs and gardening. She loved plants and flowers so much she had a green thumb... A Framer in practice Shannon was also passionate about her Catholic faith and Irish heritage. She loved her travels throughout Ireland -- special place in her heart was Dingle. She loved her husband and children and would do anything for them. Her role models and heavenly guides were/are Grandmother Ann "JJ" Jordan and Grandmother MaryJane "Gaboo or Gram Mara" Mara, and John Patrick Callahan. She battled cancer since 2014 but her never give up attitude allowed her to live life to the fullest. She touched the lives of so many, was a friend to all, and now is at peace with God in heaven. Many thanks to the staff of the Oncology/Radiology/Neurology/Neurosurgeons Units at Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, MD and finally Compassus Hospice of Chantilly, VA for the last days of care.
