Scott Turner Crow

Scott Turner Crow, 70, of Manassas, Virginia departed his life on this earth on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was the son of Nevia Ellen Turner Crow and the late Albert Lee Crow, born on June 6, 1955 in Norfolk, Virginia. In 1961, the Crow family of three relocated to Manassas, Virginia, where Scott was a standout student and athlete at Osbourn High School. He graduated from there in 1973. He attended Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia where he was a four-year starter on the Yellow Jacket Football team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1977 and began his career as a high school educator and coach, following in his father’s footsteps. His son Matthew carries on that tradition today. He resided in Texas for many years where his was blessed with two sons, Matthew and Joshua. This is also where he met his beloved wife Sandy. Shortly after their marriage in 1992, they came back “home” to Manassas and made it their permanent home, where they worked together at Osbourn Park High School. Scott was loved by students and staff alike, always being referred to as gentle, patient, kind, and always willing to lend a hand no matter the task. The students always lovingly referred to him as Coach. He personified “Once a Jacket, Always a Jacket” as he, himself, was a Yellow Jacket in high school, college, and as an educator and coach. After retirement in 2016, he and Sandy enjoyed their time together taking numerous cruises; traveling throughout the surrounding area; attending Trinity Episcopal Church; creating new recipes together; enjoying their precious granddaughter, Collins; and rescuing numerous cats over the years. In retirement, Scott continued to be an educator of life drawing on his deep faith to selflessly counsel and support friends and family alike. He is survived by his loving mother Nevia Crow; his wife of 33 years, Sandy; his sons Matthew (Alyssa) Crow, and Joshua Crow; his granddaughter Collins; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father, Al, in 2019. As he requested, there with not be a funeral service. A celebration of his amazing life will be held at a later date. If Scott could leave you all with one final request, it would be to treat every individual you encounter in your daily lives with the kindness and respect that we all deserve.
