Roberta Fern Smith

Roberta Fern Smith, age 56, passed away on June 7, 2020 at NOVANT Health Prince William Medical Center, Manassas, VA. She was born on January 12, 1964 in Virginia to Stanley Kenneth and Evelyn Marie (Suthard) Payne. Roberta was a loveable, unique person. Always willing to give advice to anyone. She would lose sleep, just to stay up to talk to people. Her son Larry (Peewee) was everything to her. She bragged about him every day. She was a very loved, outspoken person. She had much love and respect for everyone. She is predeceased in death by her parents Stanley Kenneth and Evelyn Marie Payne. Survivors include her son: Larry (Peewee) Smith; siblings: Sandra Steele and husband Mike, Stanley (Rocka) Smith, Sr. and wife Theda, Joseph Smith, Elsie Carlyle and husband Sylvon, Jerry Smith and wife Sabrina; numerous nieces and nephews among many others. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. NOTE: We are able to have 50 people in the viewing room at a time, please be respectful of your time with the family, so they are able to be greeted by all their family and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the funeral home at 1 PM with the family having private family only time from 12 Noon until service time. SUBJECT TO CHANGE: The family is allowed 60 people for the funeral, please be respectful. Due to the restraints on how many people can attend the funeral, the family will be going LIVE on ROBERTA'S FACEBOOK at 1 PM. Interment will follow and everyone is welcome at the Payne Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Pierce Funeral Home to help the family with funeral costs.
