Paul Claude Dufek

Paul Claude Dufek, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from complications resulting from a cervical spine injury. Paul (Daddy-O, Gpa, GGpa, Papa Paul as he was so lovingly known) was born on November 4, 1939 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Paul attended St. John’s Grammar School in Jordan, Minnesota, Nazareth Hall Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota and in 1957 graduated from De La Salle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked alongside his father at National Licensed Beverage Association (NLBA), was an aide to Wisconsin Congressman Alvin O’Konski. He was the President of National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA) from 1979-1993 at which time he went on to become a top producing Realtor in the Northern Virginia area. Paul leaves behind his loving wife Linda Rose Dufek, 11 siblings: Ellie, (Joe), Anne (Harold), Don (Mary), Bob (Cindy), Jean (John), John, Richard, Mary (Hank), Donna (Pat), Barbara, Tom (Nancy), 8 Children: Natalie, Shelly, Sherry (Granger), Craig, Barry, Julie, Derek and Daniel, 3 Step-Children: George (Connie), Jamie Lynne and Matthew (Kimberly). 21 grandchildren: Savanna, Sierra, Tanner, Hunter, Chandler, Gavin, Lindsay (Peter), TJ (Stephanie), Tyler, Logan, Peyton, Brittany (Matt), Michael, Cole, Kendall, Matthew, Abbie, Adrianna, Aria, Jacob and Silas, 5 great grandchildren: Dominic, Trey, Karsen, Gracyn and Eleanor and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul is preceded in death by his parents Hortense and Clarence Dufek and 3 brothers: Jim (Bonnie), William and Dennis (Maureen) and 3 nephews: Joey, Kris and Jason. Paul blessed everyone with whom he shared his life. His ability to communicate his genuine care for others was nothing short of incredible. When he wasn’t captivating his friends with his undeniable charm or remarkable wit, he was lovingly providing guidance and teaching life lessons to his children and grandchildren. He loved golf, the stock market and his precious dog Dakota who never left his side. He was completely selfless, generous and forever kind. His love for life, his family and his friends was surpassed only by his love for his beloved and devoted wife, Linda. He will be profoundly missed. Heaven gained another beautiful angel…. OUR ANGEL The family will welcome friends at Pierce Funeral Home, Manassas, Virginia on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. where the services will also be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial immediately following at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
