Patrick Michael McKinney Sr

Michael was born on March 17th,1950, in Brooklyn Park, MD. He passed peacefully at his home in Manassas, VA, on December 29th, 2023. He has gone to his eternal home in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, Michael was a certified auto mechanic and muscle car enthusiast. He finished restoring his own 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle in 2013. He loved driving it and entered many car shows. He won numerous awards, often placing in the top five. His close friends nicknamed him “Big Block Mike”. He was a diehard Baltimore Ravens fan and enjoyed watching football no matter who was playing. Michael met his soulmate, Susie McGowan, in 2009. The two quickly became inseparable and enjoyed many of the same activities and adventures. While Michael suffered from serious medical issues throughout their years together, Susie remained by his side caring for him both physically and emotionally. He was always able to pull through. Michael and Susie each had grown children when they started their relationship. They were both thrilled that all of their children were supportive and happy about their new bond. When Michael needed any of the Children, they were there to help and support him. Michael and Susie love all of their children dearly and were always grateful to have all of them in their lives. Michael will be deeply missed by his life partner, Susie McGowan, his brothers, Tommy McKinney and Larry McKinney, his sisters, Sis Seleander and Brenda Helms, his daughters, Trina McKinney, Mikele Breen, Angel Conway and her husband, Shaun, his son, Mack McKinney and his wife Angela, Susie’s children, David Quattlebaum, Jennifer Triplett, and Kimberly Keener. Michael will also be deeply missed by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a multitude of family and friends. Please join family and friends for a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life in loving memory of Michael. The Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at The Beaverdam Baptist Church, 19110 Beaver Dam Road, Beaverdam, VA 23015 on January 13th at 2pm (EST). A procession following the Celebration will travel to the McKinney Family Cemetery, 1586 Signboard Rd, Bumpass VA, 23024, where Michael will be laid to rest.
