In Loving Memory of Patrick Hufford: Beloved Husband, Father, and Brother and Son-In-Law. Patrick Hufford, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved brother, passed away on May 23rd, 2023. His departure has left a HUGE void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Patrick will forever be remembered for his warmth, kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family and friends. Born on January 23rd, 1973, in Falls Church, VA, Patrick was the son of Robert and Aiko Hufford. From an early age, Pat was a loyal and steadfast friend and displayed an innate sense of compassion and a genuine interest in connecting with others. He enjoyed helping others and being of service to his co-workers, clients and friends. He lived for his wife and children, and it was his focus in life to ensure their happiness and ensure they knew unconditional love. In 1997, Patrick met the love of his life, Lisa. Their union was one filled with love, deep devotion and mutual support. Together, they built a beautiful life, sharing both joyous moments and overcoming challenges with unwavering strength. Patrick's love for his wife was evident in every gesture, every shared laughter, and every quiet moment of understanding. Pat never stopped reaching for her hand to hold and they had an unbreakable bond that will last forever. They enjoyed adventure weekends and long drives to the country and spent countless hours searching for old treasures in antique stores and finding quaint towns to wander around and enjoyed meeting and learning from new people. As a father, Patrick's love knew no bounds. He treasured his role and approached it with dedication and tenderness. His children, Mackenzie, Koda and Rachel, were his pride and joy. Patrick nurtured them, encouraging their dreams, and providing unwavering support throughout their lives. His unconditional love will forever resonate in their hearts, guiding them on their individual paths. Patrick's love extended beyond his immediate family, embracing his siblings, Judy and Tom, with patience and generosity. As a brother, he was a supportive and protective presence, always there to answer the call. His siblings found solace and inspiration in Patrick's presence, cherishing the bond they shared. In addition to his role as a family man, Patrick was highly regarded by his colleagues and friends. His work as a network engineer and IT professional brought him fulfillment, allowing him to make a positive impact on the lives of others. His dedication, professionalism, and compassion made him an invaluable asset to his profession and earned him the respect of all who knew him. Pat was about to start a new position and the staff were so excited to have him on board because they knew his extensive experience, work ethic and friendly personality would be an asset to their organization. His ability to communicate complicated technical issues in a practical and simple way and his belief in doing the right thing by clients are invaluable traits. The CEO of the company said that his interview with Pat was the best in his entire career. Outside of his professional pursuits, Patrick had a zest for life. He had a passion for building intricate and detailed models of military vehicles and playing video games. He enthusiastically shared these passions with his family and friends. Whether it was taking the kids to Comic Con events, long drives in the country and historical sites, exploring new cuisines, or catching a movie, Patrick's presence illuminated every experience. Patrick Hufford will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, his genuine kindness and generosity, and thoughtful and smart intellect. His sense of humor and lighthearted personality made Pat a fun person to be around. Pat never met a stranger and if he saw someone mistreated, he would step in to help make the situation better. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all those fortunate enough to have known him. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Patrick's life will be held on Saturday, June 24th at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, VA.
