Ovella Rose

Ovella Rose, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. She was born on July 23, 1945 in Kona, Kentucky to the late Estel and Liza (Large) Powers. Ovella married Arnold at the age of 19 in Yorkshire, Va. She dedicated her life to being a wife and loving mother and grandmother. She worked at various places but always long too just be with her children. After having six children she became a housewife and made her life about every one of them. She lived each day for her kids. She struggled with the loss of her two sons Dean and Bernie. She had felt a void far too long. She tried to fill it with shopping or collecting ceramic chickens and most of all wanting her husband Arnold's company every second of the day. She could always be heard calling out his name..."Arnold”, never wanting to be alone. She occupied her time with her Grandchildren that was closest too her. Always handing shopping money too her granddaughter Alexis despite what Alexis's mom said. She filled her life with love she could give out too others. Now she is in on a new journey where love truly has no boundaries. There is no place for tears or sorrow. She is in a journey in which she so much longed for. A journey of peace. We will all deeply miss her. She took a piece of all of us with her but just know if we love one another as she did, we will all see each other again. God bless this sweet angel and her beautiful soul. Predeceased by her parents and two sons: James Dean Robinson and Bernard Shane Rose. Survived by her loving husband: Arnold Rose; three sons: Randy Rose, Brian Rose and Timothy Rose; one daughter: Jessica Rose; two brothers: Bernard Powers and wife Maxine, and James Powers and wife Bonnie; one sister: Connie Wolfrey and husband Jerry; two very special grandchildren: Alexis and Dalton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas, Virginia. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, you make donations directly to the funeral home for final expenses for Mrs. Rose.
