Nehalkumar Rohitkumar Thaker

Nehal Thaker born on May 18, 1973, in Anand, India was sent to his eternal home on February 5, 2025. He was a beloved husband, proud father, devoted son and son-in-law, dependable older brother, the fun uncle to many nieces and nephews and a loyal friend to many. Nehal is survived by his loving wife Reena, his adoring children Nikhil, Priyanka and Anushka. In addition, to his parents, Rohit and Uma Thaker, Nehal was blessed to be a son to Reena’s parents and aunt, Shailesh and Leela Patel, and Jasuben Patel. Nehal is fondly remembered by his brother Ketul, sister-in-law Niki and nieces Serena and Kiran. Nehal was the cherished grandson of the late Amritlal and Hasuben Thaker and late Vasudev and Savitaben Thaker. Across the entire globe, from the U.S., England to India, he leaves behind aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends who looked to him for guidance, joy, comfort, encouragement and so much more. Nehal was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laugh and smile were infectious and his compassion towards others was unwavering. He was a friend to those in need, a readied soldier for those in times of battle, and a hero for those in need of saving. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, ambition, and an untiring faith in God. Those that knew Nehal, knew his family was his world. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Nehal had a pursued excellence in every manner of life. He had a successful career as a financial advisor and helped many secure their retirement goals. He was a devoted father who helped raise three strong, accomplished, beautiful children – guiding Nikhil throughout his college career at Virginia Military Institute and his subsequent entrance into the Coast Guard Reserves and Georgetown University for his masters, Priyanka as a bright student, member and junior instructor of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy and now freshman at Indiana University and Anuskha as an accomplished soccer player, Bharatanatyam dancer and pianist. Nehal was a wonderful husband to Reena always making her laugh and taking her on exotic adventures – from the sands of Hawaii to the Himalayan mountains. Nehal found joy in hiking, traveling, yoga and spiritual exploration, spending time with family and friends, making others laugh and celebrating everyone’s achievements and truly and fully enjoying life. Those who knew Nehal will remember him for his contagious smile, his wonderful sense of humor, his deep ability to love and inspire, and his strong faith in God. He will leave a lasting impact on all who crossed his path and his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May we all carry forth his legacy of love and kind sprit in all that we do. Nehal – your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
