Nancy Keaton

NANCY LOUISE KEATON, age 77, of Manassas, Virginia died on November 5, 2008 in Manassas, Virginia. A previous resident of Candor, New York, Tacoma, Washington and Connell, Washington, she lived in Manassas since 1973 with her husband of 51 years, Robert S. Keaton Jr. of Snohomish, Washington. Nancy was born on April 9, 1931 in Pasco, Washington to Alta and Lawrence Robison. Nancy graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington and went on to obtain her masters degree from Elmira University in upstate New York. Nancy taught in the Business department at Osbourn High School in Manassas from 1977 until her retirement. Previous jobs include teacher at Camp McCormack in Candor, New York, real estate agent at Century 21 and staff member at the Journal Messenger newspaper in Manassas. She volunteered in the community and was the membership secretary for the Arlington-Fairfax Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America for many years. A person of unquestionable integrity she earned the respect and affection of everyone she met. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Alta and Lawrence Robison, Sr. and her brother, Lawrence Robison Jr. Survivors include husband, Robert S. Keaton Jr.; sister, Marian Campbell of Martinsville, Virginia; son, Don Keaton, his wife Sallie and their children, Benjamin and Shayna of Grand Rapids, Michigan; daughter, Janice Mernin, her husband Matt and their children, Sarah and Ethan of Manassas, Virginia; son, Andrew Keaton, his wife Sharon and their children, Dillan and Caleb of Amissville, Virginia. She is also survived by a niece Terri Robison of Seattle, Washington; nephews, Micky and Shane Robison and families; nephews Cliff and Clare Campbell and families, as well as many other relatives and friends. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. The family will receive guests beginning at 1:00 P.M. with service following at 2:00 P.M.
