Michael Edward Felt

Michael Edward Felt, 58, of Haymarket, Virginia, passed away on May 10, 2021. Michael was born on April 27, 1963 to Joseph and Gayle Darleen Felt in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Mike was employed by NOVEC, a career that spanned over 40 years and was marked with many accomplishments. He started his career in 1985 as a part-time Assistant Substation Communication Technician through the Cooperative Education Student Program. Shortly thereafter he became a full-time permanent employee in the position of Assistant Substation Communication Technician. In 1994 he was promoted to Supervisor, Technical Services after being a Substation Technician and Senior Substation Technician. He earned his BA in Applied Science and Technology from Thomas Edison State College in 1995. Mike cherished his work friends and always looked forward to the annual NOVEC Charity golf tournament. Mike was an avid golfer. He was known for enjoying a round on both Saturday and Sunday, in the rain, sleet and snow. Many of Mike’s family and friends benefited from his passion of golf including his loving wife, whom he proudly coached. They enjoyed the game of golf (19th hole) together along with their family and many truly wonderful friends over the past 17 years. Mike was a friend to many who have lovingly expressed kind words describing him as “a wonderful person, adored, kind, honorable, and dependable.” These friendships and prayers were deeply valued and kept him hopeful during a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. He remained hopeful to return to the things he loved-the next round of golf, the 19th hole, hanging with friends, visiting with children and grandchildren, another Hilton Head trip, and returning to work. Equally rich in family, Mike was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Pamela; sons, Christopher (partner, Kayla Hoefer) and Andrew Felt (wife, Brooke, children, Harper and Adelyn); step-daughters Krista Riggs (husband, Dan, children Emma and Mila), Kiley Robinson (partner Todd, children Isabelle, Madalyn, Gretchan, Abigail and Rowan); father, Joseph; brother Terry (wife, Teresa, children Dylan and Heather); Sister-in-law Tyna Rogers (husband, Edward). Mike is preceded in death by his loving mother Darleen Felt, mother-in-law Joyce Ball -Patton and step-son Sean Robinson. A visitation for Michael will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110. Michael's funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 17th, 2021, at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110.
