Madelyn Sharma Magrath

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Madelyn Sharma Magrath, age 24, of Prince William County Virginia, on September 5th, 2024. Maddie was a bright light in our lives, taken from us far too soon. Born on August 23rd, 2000, in Manassas Virginia, Maddie was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She was known for her kind heart, infectious laugh, and could bring joy to everyone around her. “Maddie Pie” was fun-loving, loyal, determined, and resilient. Whether she was reading a good book, debating right versus wrong, exploring the wonders of nature, or spending time with family and friends, Maddie lived her life with passion, authenticity, and fervor. A graduate of Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School Class of 2018, Maddie furthered her education and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia. Maddie was excited for her future as she recently began her professional career in the Prince William County Commonwealth Attorney’s office. Additionally, she was studying for the LSAT with the intention of attending law school. Maddie is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Bill and Anita; her loving brother Will, her grandparents Uma and Hari Sharma, and her grandmother Ruth Davies. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, and colleagues that she loved very much. Maddie had a wide circle of friends who were very special and dear to her. A memorial service to celebrate Maddie's life will be held on Saturday, September 14th at 11:00 AM Pierce Funeral Home 9609 Center St. Manassas, VA 20110. Family and friends are invited to attend and share in remembering her. A repast will immediately follow the memorial in the reception room In Lieu of flowers please consider donating in Maddie's memory to "Youth for Tomorrow". This organization's mission is to guide at-risk children and families to a better future. This cause was important to Maddie and held a special place in her heart.
