With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jorge Elias Hirmas, on October 18, 2024. Jorge was more than a father, grandfather, uncle, and friend—he was the heart of our family, the rock upon which we leaned, and a source of unending love and wisdom. To know Jorge was to experience a soul whose kindness and strength left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His life was a testament to generosity, grace, and unwavering dedication to those he cherished. Though his absence leaves a space no one else can fill, we are comforted by the memories and values he imparted—gifts that will live on within us. Every word of encouragement, every moment of joy, and every lesson shared has become a part of the fabric of our lives. His spirit will continue to shine through the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind. Jorge's love for family was boundless, and for him, family extended far beyond blood. Anyone who walked through his door was embraced as one of his own. He had a gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and welcome, always ready with advice, encouragement, and a warm smile. His home was not just a place—it was a sanctuary of love, where lifelong bonds were created and nurtured. Jorge leaves behind his devoted wife, Mary Hirmas, who stood by his side through every season of life. He is also survived by his five sons—Richard, Franz, Farouk, Jorge, and Juan—along with eleven cherished grandchildren, numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. His love for each of them was unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed. Jorge will forever be remembered for his generosity, his quiet strength, and his deep, unconditional love for his family and friends. While our hearts ache with his loss, we are filled with gratitude for the time we had with him, knowing that his legacy will continue to shape and inspire us. His memory will live on in every story shared, every act of kindness, and every life he touched. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts. A funeral service to honor Jorge’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26th, at 4:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, VA. We invite all who knew and loved Jorge to join us for this celebration of his beautiful life, as we come together to remember and honor the remarkable man who will forever remain a part of us.
