John Andrew Stowe

Beloved father and son, (John) Andrew Stowe, 51, died suddenly on February 14, 2024 in Fairfax, Virginia. He was born on May 21,1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He lived a life filled with love for his family, friends, neighbors, collegaues and dogs. When Andrew was a teenager, his family moved to Northern Virginia where he graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary in 1990, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University in 1998. Andrew was indispensible in his role as Senior Director of Government Compliance at ICF International. His expertise won him universal respect as he masterfully managed varied responsibilities, including supervisory, instructional and mentoring roles. Andrew was very skilled in woodworking and home repair, a history expert, a former avid runner, biker and triathlete, rock climber, camper, and swing dancer. He enjoyed good Bordeaux, foie gras, and crab cakes. He played piano with the masterful technique, befitting his mentor, mother Nancy Fletcher Stowe of Burke, VA. Andrew was quick to help anyone in need, always going above and beyond. Andrew is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Kenneth and Mary Lou (Warner) Fletcher, father John Henry Stowe, and dogs Corona, Cayman and Daisy. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Lydic Stowe, son (John) Oliver (13), daughter Vivienne Amelia (10), and dogs Rosie Franklin and Kayla of Fairfax, VA. He is also survived by his (aforementioned) mother Nancy Stowe, the family of brother Matthew Stowe of Chapel Hill, NC, and countless others whose lives he has touched. We will miss him deeply.
