Godofredo Veneros Arreano

Gody was born in Huanuni, Bolivia, on November 8, 1950. He was the son of Miguel and Matiaza, and brother to Amalia, Tomasita, Edmundo, Salomé, Alberta, Federico, Soledad, Cinda, and Wilma. In Huanuni, he met Magaly Iriondo, whom he married. From this union, they had their three children: Gehusette, Martín, and Gabriela. Gody was a proud and loving grandfather to his grandchildren Bryan, Jamila, Joshua, Giovanni, and Gabriel. He was also accompanied until his final days by his beloved kitten, Bambina, who filled his life with joy and affection until his last breath. Gody and his family lived in Bolivia until they decided to settle in the United States, where he continued to build his live with hard work and dedication. One of Gody’s greatest passions was Scouting. He was a member of the Boy Scouts (Eagle Scouts) during the 1980s, an experience that profoundly shaped his life. He founded and led two Scout groups in Huanuni and Cochabamba, sponsored by the company Manaco, with more than 40 children in each location. Among his most treasured memories was his participation in the World Jamboree in Idaho, United States, in 1967, a journey he remembered fondly until his final days. In 1984, Gody served as Head of Social Welfare in Huanuni. He also led a community support group called “Los Terribles,” dedicated to helping those most in need. In the United States, Gody worked as a supervisor for several companies, including the National Guard in Virginia. He was an extremely hardworking man, always recognized for his responsibility, commitment, and excellence, receiving multiple awards as Employee of the Year. Gody was a joyful man. He loved to dance, decorate for every occasion, spend time with those around him. He truly enjoyed life and the company of his loved ones. His children and grandchildren were always his greatest pride and the main reason for his life. Our beloved Gody fought bravely to remain in this life. Those who were by his side in his final moments witnessed his strength and determination. He left this world with honor, like a true champion, as his children lovingly called him: the “Iron Man.” God chose to take him into His care, but Gody leaves behind an unforgettable legacy of perseverance, love for life, devotion to his family, and an example of honest, hard work. Gody loved life deeply. Rest in peace, champion.
