Edward "Ted" Billington Toth Edward "Ted" Billington Toth, age 46, resident of Nokesville, VA died Sunday, August 9, 2009 in a tragic airplane accident over Lake Anna. Ted was a loving father, husband and loyal friend. He blessed many lives with his presence. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Lisa Marie Toth and their daughters Heather Marie Toth, 17, and Amanda Lynn Toth, 13; his mother, Robin Starbird and his stepfather, Austin "Ed"Starbird of Urbanna, VA; his father, William Edward Toth Sr. of Colonial Heights, VA; his brother, Anthony Powell Toth of Warrenton, VA and Urbanna, VA; his sister Anne Dorsey Toth of Saluda, VA; and half brother William Edward Toth, Jr. of Colonial Heights, VA. Additional survivors include but are not limited to Lisa Toth's immediate family; parents John and Joann Para of Manassas, VA; brothers, John Para II and Joe Para; and sisters Lynn Para and Lori Para. Ted was loved immensely and cherished as one of their own. To his brother and sister Ted was known as "Butch", a comical nickname given by his father. Ted's loving extended family and close friends will cherish his memory and embrace the reflection of "the funniest guy you'd ever meet. His legacy will live on throughout all the lives he has touched and also in those who were fortunate enough to simply have been graced with his effervescent spirit. Ted, a Navy Veteran, was an extraordinary pilot who loved his career as a corporate pilot for Danaher Corporation Inc. located at Dulles International Airport. His passion for aviation extended into his personal life where flying for pleasure was a must. Music, comedy and good company were just a few of Ted's many passions. Ted was an exceptional guitarist, singer, and was very skilled in playing the harmonica. Touching many lives and always the "center of attention" he lived his life to the fullest. Ted never knew a stranger. Ted will always be remembered as "The World's Greatest Dad", words often expressed by his daughters. Ted beamed sunshine, warmth and happiness to those around him often seen in his "perfect smile." Ted always could create an atmosphere filled with laughter just by his mere presence. The loss of Ted is indescribable, undefinable, unimaginable?a profound loss of epic proportion. The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Va. On Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 1:00 P. M.
