Deborah Louise Dunn

Deborah Louise Dunn, 72, of Bristow, Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her sons: Carl Dunn III and his wife Joanna, Bryan Dunn and his wife Brynne, and Jeffrey Dunn and his wife Dawn; her grandchildren: Sydney Braden, Zak Dunn, Emily Dunn, Luke Dunn, and Parker Robinson; her siblings: Keith Rodenhausen, Fred Rodenhausen, Robin Murphy, and Karen Ruddell; and her dear mother, Betty Rodenhausen. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Rodenhausen, and her husband, Carl Dunn Jr. Debbie was born September 2, 1953, in Greenbelt, Maryland, to Betty and Harold Rodenhausen. In 1972, she married Carl Dunn Jr., and the couple made their home in Charleston, West Virginia, where their three sons were born. The family later moved to Virginia, residing in Salem for eight years before settling in the Manassas area for the past 39 years. Debbie devoted herself to her family and took great pride in raising her three sons. As a devoted homemaker, she filled their home with love, support, and many cherished family traditions. Her sons fondly remember the many adventures they shared with their mother. In later years, she especially treasured traveling to island resorts with her husband of 50 years and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Debbie’s passions included gardening and volunteering. She was always willing to help others in need throughout her life, whether it meant bringing her boys along to deliver Meals on Wheels, giving a disabled friend a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or helping cater a large group at church or the lodge. The Order of the Amaranth held a special place in her heart. She and Carl served as Royal Matron and Royal Patron of Destiny Court in 2014–2015, and together they served as Grand Royal Matron and Grand Royal Patron of the Grand Court of Virginia in 2018–2019. In January 2012, Debbie was instrumental in establishing a Rainbow Assembly in Manassas, Virginia, and remained an active member of its Assembly Board until her passing. Her warm smile and enormous heart touched everyone who knew her. A celebration of life to honor Debbie's memory will be held at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia, with visitation on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 6pm. The Amaranth Memorial Service performed by Destiny Court and Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas, Virginia, at 11am with communal to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Lodge 182 or the Grace United Methodist Church Caring and Sharing Fund in memory of Deborah L. Dunn. Debbie will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her legacy lives on through the love she so generously shared with everyone around her.
