Debbie Bernice Carroll

Debbie Bernice Askeris Carroll was born March 2, 1959, in Long Beach, California to the late Russell Roy Askeris and Bernice Burmeister Duron Askeris. She attended St. Polycarp Catholic School (Stanton, CA) and was involved in cheerleading, gymnastics, ice skating, and Girl Scouts. She graduated from Cornelia Connelly Catholic High School (Anaheim, CA) in 1977. She attended Cal State Fullerton, majoring in Computer Science. Debbie grew up outside of Disneyland and had a lifelong love of Disney. She met her husband A. Patrick (Pat) Carroll while working at Disneyland together and the two were married September 5, 1981. After they were married Debbie worked for Marriott in Anaheim. They moved to King of Prussia, PA in June of 1983. In March of 1985 their daughter Patricia K Carroll was born. They moved in Manassas, VA in September of 1988. Debbie worked as an accountant for Aetna/Travelers, and then as a Billing Manager for Civil Engineering company BDE and was working most recently as a billing manager at the Civil Engineering Firm, Gordon in Chantilly, VA. Debbie was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and was involved in the Ladies Axillary of the Knights of Columbus. She loved being involved in many activities with her daughter including, volunteering at All Saints School, being a Girl Scout leader, and Girl Scout “Cookie Mom” for many years. Debbie enjoyed going to Florida to visit with her daughter and loved going to the beach. One of her favorite hobbies was crocheting baby blankets for friends and coworkers’ children. Survivors: Debbie is survived by her husband A. Patrick (Pat) Carroll of Manassas, VA, and a daughter Patricia K Carroll of Fort Myers, FL. She is also survived by her older brother Henry E Duron (Connie) of Anaheim, CA, a sister-in-law Bridget Duron (Arizona), niece Tina Chalkey of Gadsden, AL, nephew John Duron (Erin), nephew Brent Duron (Aundrea) of Anaheim, CA, and niece Heather Brackney (Jasan) of Star, ID and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and older brother Raymond H Duron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
